Race Two- #3 Altered Shot: We’re going to take a price shot with this mare today, she should be forwardly-placed in a race lacking much pace on paper. Moreover, her recent form was validated when the winner came back to win again on Wednesday solidifying the last speed figure. We also love the way this barn has been going at the meet so far, especially moving up these cheaper claimers.
The Play: 1 unit to Win and 0.5 units on a 2,3 Exacta Box
Race Seven- #3 Curly Q Girl: Admittedly these 2YO baby races turf routing are murky handicapping puzzles, but that can also create a lack of conviction on the tote board resulting in some interesting wagering opportunities. With that being said, this filly looks interesting here being out of a nice turf mare who has also thrown a decent turf horse in addition to a precocious Pletcher firster. Furthermore, the cozy inside draw is optimal given that the rails just came down on the inner turf course and the horse appears to be working well in the mornings up here at the Spa.
