Rainman's Redemption Strategy – St. Jude FedEx Championship
DraftKings Bookmakers in our crosshairs..
Rainman Maroochi has cooked up an interesting strategy for this week’s card at the St. Jude FedEx Championship. But first, a confession. For those of you reading closely, you may have noticed an oversight in the course preview. Slipping through Rainman’s usually airtight prep was a key detail: TPC Southwind has transitioned from Champion Bermuda to TifEagle Bermuda greens. Translation? We’re now dealing with an overseeded putting surface.
That mistake? Fully owned. And with it, Rainman’s own argument against Scottie Scheffler's dominance fell apart. So—what now?
We pivot. Same players, new strategy. This week, we attack the “Without Scheffler” markets and ladder-style bets to extract value without betting directly into the buzzsaw that is Scottie.
🎯 The Card:
• Russell Henley (30-1) – Our top pick. We’re playing him in the "without the favorites" market where we’ve identified really good value. For instance, the Circa bookmakers who we hold in high regard have him listed at +1750 outright! Henley fits everything we’re looking for—form, fit, and value.
• Daniel Berger (50-1) – Same treatment as Henley. He’s a course horse, with great past results here. Like him in the "without" markets with a small outright push.
• Tommy Fleetwood (25-1) – Targeted specifically in the "without Scottie Scheffler" market. We’ll throw a little on the outright as well, but the hedge play is the angle here.
• Viktor Hovland (30-1) – The one boom-or-bust bullet. No hedge, no safety net. Just a pure out-right swing on the volatility play of the week.
Recommended Plays:
Russell Henley: 1 unit on ‘Winner Without Tommy Fleetwood, Xander Schauffele, Justin Thomas & Scottie Scheffler’ at 20-1 versus the DraftKings bookmakers
Daniel Berger: 0.3 units on ‘Winner Without Tommy Fleetwood, Xander Schauffele, Justin Thomas & Scottie Scheffler’ at 30-1 versus the DraftKings bookmakers
Tommy Fleetwood: 0.5 units on ‘Winner Without Scottie Scheffler’ at 18-1
Victor Hovland: 0.3 units to Win Outright at 35-1
